I see it every where. In emails, in forums, in blogs…

“Tell me how to make X amount of money in X amount of days.”

Now there are a lot of methods for making quick cash, but quick cash methods are good for pretty much what their name implies – making a small (sometimes large) amount of money in a very short period of time (usually a few days).

While quick cash generation is great, as an internet marketer, you really want to focus on generating long-term, passive income streams. Hands-free income is really the only way to enjoy the internet marketer lifestyle. Sure short-term cash is great, but if you only focus on making short-term cash, then you will always have to think about how you will make money tomorrow.

Long-term passive income gives freedom. Freedom to enjoy your life, freedom to take time off when you want, freedom to work on generating even more passive income streams….

So what’s the key to making long-term passive income??

In my honest opinion, it all comes down to your goals and how you go about making them. Anyone can say, “I want to make 5 Grand this month”, but if you don’t break it down, you will find that you will never make your goals. If you have no battle plan, you don’t know what you are supposed to do and will end up just wasting your time.

This is one of the most common problems people face when trying to make money online. Remember, internet marketing is a business and needs to be treated like one.

“So how the hell do I break down my goals and make an effective battle plan?!”, you say?

Well you’re in luck because I’m going to show you the exact process I use to make my goals and battle plans. This process is not only very simple, but also extremely effective.

I will break down a $3K/month passive income stream (using Clickbank as my income source) for you. Of course, you can scale this up or down to match your personal goals.

It’s not that hard at all once you break it down.

Just to prove my point, I’m gonna shoot really low on the commissions and the conversion rate.

Let’s say that the the product you promote is giving a commission on $20. (Note that this is just a low-end figure and there are tons of products that offer much higher commissions.)

Next, let’s say you only average a very low 1% conversion rate. (Again, shooting really low here. Depending on the niche, the average conv. rate is typically between 2-8%. I have seen higher as well. Again, it all depends on the niche.)

So you would make 1 sale in every 100 visitors(on average) at a 1% conversion rate. Therefore, you would need to drive 500 visitors a day to make $3,000/month ($100/day). Sounds hard? It’s not. You can make it even easier and split it up by marketing in multiple niches. So if you had 5 products, you would need to drive only 100 visitors daily to each site to make your goal.

And remember, I’m using very low numbers here. The reality is you will see much better results.

Breaking down every promotion you do down to this level will make it much easier for you because you will be able to plan a lot better and you will also have a much clearer what you need to do on a daily basis to in order to make your goal.

Simple right?

Next time you are getting ready to start a promotion, give this a try. Break it down. I guarantee you will find it much easier to make your goals and keep moving forward.

Google Caffeine

Google Caffeine? What the hell is that???

If you find yourself asking this, then you had better listen up. Google is getting ready to launch their latest update to their search engine – Google Caffeine. However, this update will not be bringing any visual changes to Google’s search engine as far as design. In fact, to most people, this change will go unnoticed. Google’s calling it an “under the hood” update.

So why should you care?

If you’re an intenet marketer that relies on SEO to get your sites ranking in Google, then you should be watching this very closely because the Caffeine update will change some of the search results which means some of your sites that are currently ranking very high in Google may drop some(or go up hopefully).

Unfortunately, Google won’t tell you exactly what they are changing and how it will affect you, but you can check out the new search results from Google Caffeine for yourself at it’s BETA version here.

I highly recommend you start testing it and comparing to the current Google search engine to see how the search results are differing. I have been playing around with it and have noticed some major differences in the results of pages indexed. Also, you’ll notice that the speed of Google Caffeine is about 2x faster than the current search engine.

Now there’s a lot of talk about how Google Caffeine will kill SEO marketing etc…this is just the typical bullshit you see around any Google update and should be ignored. Google is known for being the search engine that returns the most relevant results to its users the fastest and of course they want to keep it this way.

My results from testing the new Caffeine search engine are actually pretty impressive. Some of my pages rank higher than they do in the current Google search engine. Web 2.0 sites, Social Bookmarking sites, Video, Images, etc…All of these still appear in Google Caffeine so if anyone says that web 2.0 marketing is dead, tell them they can suck it.

I will continue to play around with Google Caffeine, and of course I will post any major finds here on my blog. I also recommend you test for yourself right away so that you can get yourself ahead of your competition. Just remember that Google loves quality content that’s fresh. They also love user generated content. So web 2.0, video, images, social bookmarking, etc…all still good weapons that I will continue to use in my arsenal and I hope you will, too.

Just remember to start testing early so that you know how to use your “weapons” most effectively.
